Leadership Team

James Ruiz

Chief Operating Officer

Currently serving as CEO, James Ruiz has been a crucial steppingstone to BPG’s growth and success over the years.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University. He brings over a decade of experience in telecommunications, underground construction, heavy civil, industrial construction and mining industries leading teams and projects with great success. James had held multiple roles here at BPG including Safety Manager, Project Manager, and COO. His knowledge, experience, and leadership skills continue to drive operation growth and long-term success while providing vision, strategic direction and overall leadership to the company.

Jeanine Remley

Chief Financial Officer

Jeanine Remley serves as BPG’s Chief Financial Officer.  As a member of the leadership team, she oversees the accounting and finance operations of the company.

Jeanine has over 40 years of senior financial experience, having managed accounting and finance functions for companies ranging in size and complexity from privately owned local businesses to publicly traded entities.  She has experience in the financial services sector, as well as in the telecommunications and construction industries.

Jeanine holds a B.S. in Accountancy and an M.B.A from Arizona State University.  She maintains an active CPA license in the state of Arizona.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Kristena Lauritzen

Employee Resources

As the head of Employee Resources, Kristena Lauritzen (Wheeler) is responsible for overseeing all HR-related functions. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from California Baptist University in 2002. Born and raised in Southern California, she has over 20 years of experience working in the construction industry where she developed extensive expertise in HR and payroll processing.

In 2018, she relocated to Arizona and in 2019 joined Team BPG. Since that time, she has played a key role in developing and implementing various HR programs and procedures that support the company’s growth and success. Her commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with industry standards has made her an invaluable asset to the organization. In recognition of her leadership and contributions, Kristena was recently invited to join the leadership team, where she continues to drive initiatives that enhance employee operational efficiency.

Blake Waldersen

Blake Waldersen

Designs Director

Blake Waldersen is the Director of the Design Department, leading a team that specializes in Mobile LiDAR, GIS/Mapping, Surveying, AutoCAD, and consulting services for CLECs, fiber optic network providers, and private enterprises. He manages projects from design-assist to design-build, ensuring smooth collaboration with contractors and stakeholders.
Before this role, Blake was an Engineering Manager at Wyco/Mastec, where he managed multiple projects, streamlined team coordination, and strengthened client relationships while driving company growth. He holds certifications as a Fiber Splicer, FTTX Installer, and CenturyLink Level 3 Installer (C and P). With experience in installation, OSP engineering, permitting, and management, Blake combines technical expertise with strong leadership to deliver results and foster lasting partnerships.
